Sugarcandy Mountain was the animals equivalent to Heaven. It was located up in the sky, just on the other side of the clouds. Everyday was like Sunday, so the animals would never have to work hard. Clover was in season all year around, and lump sugar as well as linseed cake grew on all of the hedges. Every Animal got to go to Sugar Candy Mountain after they passed away. Sugarcandy mountain was a place where they were guaranteed to live a life full of no worries or troubles forever.
When Moses first started preaching about Sugarcandy Mountain, he did not have to tell the animals that they would be free from all labors when they arrived in this heavenly place. None of the animals worked extremely hard, there jobs were pretty care free compared to the amount of tasks that each animal had to complete when Napoleon came into power. The animals then had to work extremely hard and therefore hated working, so Sugarcandy Mountain was something to look forward to, because there, they would never have to work. This belief made them workharder in anticipation of going to Sugarcandy Mountain.
